The Xtium3 series is designed for maximum sustained throughput (13.2 GB/s) and ready-to-use image data, reducing CPU load and accelerating host application processing. Its enhanced memory architecture supports area and line scan, monochrome and color cameras, and delivers exceptional performance for Camera Link HS and CoaXPress interface standards.
 

 

 

Introducing Xtium3 PCIe Gen4 Series

Built on Teledyne DALSA’s proven Xtium2 family, the Xtium3-CLHS PX8 is a next-generation frame grabber designed for high-speed image acquisition. Featuring the Camera Link HS (CLHS) standard on the PCI Express™ Gen 4.0 platform, this single-slot, single-cable solution supports up to 7 CLHS lanes, each operating at 10.3125 Gbps (72.2 Gbps in total), delivering acquisition bandwidths of 8.6 GB/s and host transfer rates up to 13.2 GB/s via a PCIe Gen4 x8 slot.

High-Speed Data Transmission

Using the CLHS X-protocol, the Xtium3-CLHS PX8 achieves over 97% packet efficiency with 64/66-bit encoding. Combined with 7-lane AOC cables, it supports maximum input data rates at cable lengths beyond 30 metres. Integrated data forwarding enables real-time redistribution of incoming data to up to 12 computers, connecting with other Xtium3-CLHS grabbers via standard AOC cables.

 

 

Optimized Performance and Compatibility

The Xtium3 series leverages PCIe Gen4 architecture to deliver sustained throughput of 13.2 GB/s directly to host memory, minimising CPU overhead and accelerating image processing. Its enhanced memory design supports area and line scan, monochrome and colour cameras, and offers exceptional performance for Camera Link HS® and CoaXPress® interfaces.
